CALIBRATE FAQ

HOW DO I REGISTER?
This is done by a youth pastor/leader from your home church, so students will register through their youth ministry and not the camp.

CAN I STILL ATTEND CALIBRATE IF I DO NOT ATTEND A PAOC CHURCH OR HAVE A YOUTH PASTOR?
Of course! Everyone is welcome to attend Calibrate Youth. If you find yourself in this situation, please contact us and we will be happy to direct you to the closest local church or one you have a relationship with and register with that group.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?
The overall registration fee will differ on the choice of accommodation selected by the youth pastor/leader.

HOW DO I PAY FOR CALIBRATE?
You will register and pay with your local church/youth ministries.

WHAT DOES THE SCHEDULE LOOK LIKE?
You will participate in encounters, group devotions, sports, late night and more.

WILL STUDENTS BE ASSIGNED A COACH?
Youth ministries will provide their own youth leaders. By bringing their own leaders we can do a better job ensuring follow-up happens for each student once camp has ended. Having students come with others (leaders and students) from their local churches helps keep the discipleship journey moving past the end of camp.

WILL I MEET NEW STUDENTS OUTSIDE OF MY YOUTH GROUP?
Definitely! Some of the activities will happen in youth ministry group (devotions and team building etc.) but other components will be in mixed team along with campers from other churches (sports, activities etc.)

KIDS ENCOUNTER FAQ

HOW DO I REGISTER MY CHILD?
This is done by a children’s pastor/leader from your home church, so children will register through their children’s ministry and not the camp.

CAN MY CHILD STILL ATTEND ENCOUNTER IF WE DO NOT ATTEND A PAOC CHURCH OR HAVE A CHILDREN’S PASTOR?
Of course! Everyone is welcome to attend Encounter Kids Weekend. If you find yourself in this situation, please contact us and we will be happy to direct you to the closest local church or one you have a relationship with and register with that group.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?
The overall registration fee will differ on the choice of accommodation selected by the children’s pastor/leader.

HOW DO I PAY FOR KIDS CAMP?
You will register and pay with your local church/children’s ministries.

WHAT DOES THE SCHEDULE LOOK LIKE?
You will participate in encounters, group devotions, games, crafts, camp fires and more.

WILL MY CHILD MEET NEW STUDENTS OUTSIDE OF THEIR CHILDREN'S MINISTRY?
Definitely! Some of the activities will happen in children’s ministry group (devotions and team building etc.) but other components will be in mixed team along with campers from other churches (sports, activities etc.)

WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS SPECIAL NEEDS/REQUIRES EXTRA SUPPORT?
One of the benefits of having children sign up with their children’s ministries is that the church is responsible for bringing their own leaders. This means that you can work with your Children’s Pastor/Leader to ensure there is proper care for your child.
